Hill start

Drivers feared hills especially parking on hills. The fear that the car may roll downhill were immense and sometime paralyzing. The same terror kicks back when climbing on snail speed having to balance on clutch and gas. Automatic transmission took care of all that, hill start are now our piece of cake.

Starting on gear

You must thoroughly counter check a manual transmission before igniting the car. There’s always a possibility that the car may be on gear. You don’t want a scenario where you turn the ignition and the car leaps over people’s head in full throttle. In an automatic transmission the car won’t even ignite on gear therefore settling all fears.

Stopping for pedestrians

If you find someone jumping the lights or gliding past a pedestrian crossing they are probably driving a manual. Manual transmission drivers hate losing momentum, they hate slowing down, how they hate going down to gear one and starting all again. Drivers on automatic transmission think it’s fun to stop and started as often as required.

Engaging wrong gear

Every manual transmission driver has had an experience of engaging reverse gear instead of gear 5, or reverse instead of gear 1 in some car models. The sickening sound of grinding metals that we would quickly correct hoping our passengers didn’t notice. Automatic transmission gear lever stops are clearly labeled complete with LEDs. Changing to subsequent gears is already electronically taken care of.
