The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) migrated the application for <\/span>Provisional Driving Licence for driver leaners to the TRANSPORT INTEGRATED <\/span>MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (TIMS) from 08th August 2019. <\/span><\/p>\n

The steps below provide the <\/span>process for application for the PDL.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 1<\/span><\/strong>
\n? Click on subscribe to receive SMS ( or send the word NTSA to 22847)<\/span>
\n? Log on to www.ntsa.go.ke<\/a><\/span>
\n? Click on the TIMS logo<\/span>
\n? Click on Register an account<\/span>
\n? Enter ID serial number, then click on verify, then provide your mother\u2019s maiden name <\/span>then click on verify, then proceed to the next step enter PIN number and submit.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 2<\/span><\/strong>
\n? Click on Driving License tab<\/span>
\n? Click on Application for PDL on the left side menu.<\/span>
\n? Read the information and click on Next button to make payment.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 3<\/span><\/strong>
\n? After payment, choose the driving school and vehicle classes.<\/span>
\n? Complete the application and wait for application to be approved by the driving <\/span>school.<\/span>
\n? After approval, you can begin training at the driving school.<\/span><\/p>\n

NB: The holder of a Provisional Driving License shall not be allowed to drive on a road<\/span>
\nunless he is in the company of a qualified driver holding a valid driving license for the class<\/span>
\nor classes the applicant has been permitted to drive.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Authority shall not be liable for any transactions within any TIMS account. It is prudent<\/span>
\nthat any information relating to the TIMS account is not disclosed to any parties. If assisted<\/span>
\nto register an account, ensure the registered phone number provided does not belong to the<\/span>
\nindividual but to the owner of the account. All codes and passwords shall be sent to the<\/span>
\nphone number provided.<\/span>
