The problems this overloading creates are mind-boggling and the various legal ramifications need to be examined.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">Lorries are not meant to ferry human beings. The drivers and owners of the lorries commit various offences under the Traffic Act.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">They range from dangerous driving, using a vehicle as PSV without a license, overloading and dangerous driving. Why the protection by police?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">The police are failing in their statutory duty to enforce law, which itself is an offence under the Police Act.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">The Commissioner of Police is exposing himself to prosecution.
