{"id":6276,"date":"2020-11-03T11:57:39","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T08:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.magaripoa.com\/?p=6276"},"modified":"2020-11-15T12:15:22","modified_gmt":"2020-11-15T09:15:22","slug":"ngilu-drives-president-uhuru-in-an-isuzu-dmax-double-cab-pickup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.magaripoa.com\/gari\/ngilu-drives-president-uhuru-in-an-isuzu-dmax-double-cab-pickup\/","title":{"rendered":"Ngilu drives President Uhuru in an Isuzu DMax double cab pickup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday, November 3,\u00a0enjoyed a free ride from Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu who drove him in a double-cabin pick-up vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The two leaders were at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in\u00a0Nairobi County during the\u00a0kicking\u00a0off of the issuance of 10,000 title deeds\u00a0to residents of Samburu County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">During the flagging off of 75 locally assembled vehicles for the National Titling Programme, Kenyatta challenged Ngilu to drive him in the new vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">&#8220;The reason I am handing over the first vehicles to you is that you are going to give me a ride in one,&#8221; the Head of State stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The governor was clearly taken by surprise as she signed in disbelief. She, however, stepped up to the challenge as she confidently headed for the driver&#8217;s seat as the President settled in the passenger seat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Two of Uhuru&#8217;s bodyguards also got\u00a0into the rear seats of the vehicle as Ngilu ignited the vehicle and drove at a moderate pace in the venue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The leaders drove off for some metres before turning around and heading to where they started.
