A Kenya Air Force aircraft, the Harbin Y-12, is reported to have crashed in Voi, Taita Taveta County on the afternoon hours of Tuesday, January 12.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The unfortunate incident was announced by the Kenya Defense Force (KDF) in a tweet on its official Twitter handle. The aircraft was from Moi Air Base, Eastleigh. It is not clear whether there were casualties but recovery efforts are currently underway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rescue teams from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and Kenya Police are at the scene of the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

The incident was confirmed by Voi OCPD Benadtine Shari but did not indicate the number of occupants at the time the accident occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n
