Frederick Owino, the\u00a0rogue matatu driver\u00a0who was caught on video harassing a female motorist, has been freed on Ksh. 90,000 cash bail.<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver of the Mataara Sacco matatu registration number KCK 114P was captured in the undated amateur video recorded by the motorist.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the video, he is heard saying: \u201cWewe nipige video haina shida\u201d to which the lady responds: \u201cUtaona, tusi yote.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He then hits her car on the left side with his matatu, breaking her side mirror as he shouts: \u201cSitagharamia.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The female motorist again responds: \u201cGonga tu, pasua!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Owino is then seen driving ahead of the female motorist and smashing her car windscreen while barking \u201csitagharamia, umbwa!\u201d and then drives off.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was arrested on Saturday, February 27 after the motorist filed a report with the police. The matatu was also impounded.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday, Owino was arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts and charged with malicious damage and a traffic offense.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was released on cash bail after he pleaded not guilty to the two criminal counts.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
