Detectives based at the Kikuyu Police Station have launched an intensive manhunt for two unidentified suspects following the harrowing incident, which took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. near the KARLO Forest\u2013Renguti Junction in the Kerwa area of Kikuyu Sub-County.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to preliminary police reports, the couple was driving home when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and landed in a ditch on a nearby farm.<\/span><\/p>\n

The criminals then forced the victims to disclose their M-Pesa PINs, enabling them to transfer an undisclosed sum of money from their mobile wallets. Beyond the financial theft, the ordeal escalated into a heinous sexual assault, with one of the victims being gang-raped. Both victims sustained physical injuries during the attack before the perpetrators fled into the darkness.<\/span><\/p>\n

A multi-agency team\u2014led by the Kikuyu Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer (SCCIO), the Officer in Charge of Crime, traffic officers, and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) from Kiambu County\u2014processed the scene later that morning. Investigators recovered several empty alcohol bottles from inside the crashed vehicle, which have been secured as exhibits.<\/span><\/p>\n
