{"id":9823,"date":"2024-11-06T17:39:07","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T14:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.magaripoa.com\/?p=9823"},"modified":"2024-11-06T17:39:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T14:39:07","slug":"news-anchor-conned-of-a-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.magaripoa.com\/gari\/news-anchor-conned-of-a-car\/","title":{"rendered":"How K24tv news anchor was conned in a Toyota Axio for a VW Jetta trade-in deal @road_driving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph-style\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\"><em>K24<\/em>\u00a0journalist Ian Wafula is a man at a loss after he was allegedly duped into trading his Toyota Axio for a VW Jetta at a car bazaar in Nairobi only for the latter to be impounded by the dreaded Flying Squad officers over double ownership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-style\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">According to Wafula, the saga began after he went to a car Bazaar along Ngong Rd reportedly owned by one Collins Bootsy Muraya where he traded his Axio for the Jetta whose ownership is under probe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-style\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">Wafula says he paid the agreed amount to Collins only to later learn after over a year that the Bazaar owner vanished into the thin air without remitting the amount to the original Jetta owner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-style\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">He added that original Jetta owner in turn sold the car to a different buyer after Collins vanished and changed the Jetta\u2019s ownership while he, Wafula, was still in possession of the car.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-style\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\"><em>\u201cVery often social pressure and expectations force us to hide behind our jobs; that our lives are perfect, free of baggage.
