In a crash you have less<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">protection than a driver.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">Please keep in mind that getting your licence, even after all the training, does not make you an<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">experienced and safe rider. It takes years of practice to learn all the skills and correct riding<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">techniques. Remember, as an inexperienced rider, you are more likely to be involved in a crash<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">than an experienced rider.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">In the meantime, this handbook can be a great help. When it says \u2018bike\u2019 this means any<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">motorcycle or motor scooter. If it is talking about a specific kind of bike, it will use more<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">specific terms. Otherwise, it will simply say \u2018bike\u2019. When it says \u2018rider\u2019 it means motorcycle or<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">motor scooter rider.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\">Bike riders must obey the same rules as drivers.
