Toyota Yaris Cross wins global car of the year award

The New York International Auto Show car awards have recognized four car brands for producing the best vehicles in 2022. 

Just like last year, the panel leaned into the battery-electric future while choosing the outstanding cars. 

Hyundai Ioniq 5 took the  Electric Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year award. 

Mercedes-Benz EQS took the World Luxury Car of the Year award. 

The Audi E-Tron GT managed to scoop the World Performance Car of the Year award.
