Accident involving a trailer near Mai Mahiu leaves motorists stranded

Whenever there’s a 2 minutes delay on the road, Kenyan drivers begin overlapping even before the know what’s happening. This always aggravates even the tiniest of incidents creating an impossible grindlock on both ends. We never learn no matter how painful it bites us.

Motorists using Mai Mahiu road were stranded following trailer accident at the escarpment.

This affected motorists using the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu-Rironi following an accident that had blocked the road.

The accident involved a trailer that was moving towards Mai Mahiu.

Police officers arrived on the site of the accident and started clearing the road.

Kenya National Highways Authority said that the traffic snarl-up took longer to open up following overlapping by other vehicles.

Motorists were advised to be patient as normal traffic is being restored.

With traffic police in full control the snarl-up was projected to clear within an hour.

Motorists were advised to use alternative passage.
