What is Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) in Cars?

Front-wheel drive (FWD) is a drivetrain configuration where the engine’s power is delivered exclusively to the front wheels. The gearbox connects only to the front wheels through driveshafts, while the rear wheels are not powered but are instead pulled by the front ones.

 

Advantages of Front-Wheel Drive:
