Motorist overtaking maneuver ends in horrific accident under a truck

A grisly accident on a busy highway has claimed the life of a motorist leaving his passenger with severe injuries. The accident involved a private car and a Lorry is said to have been caused by the failure of the motorist to slow down on a narrow road. 

According witnesses the driver was trying to overtake the lorry when he was crushed by the truck. The road was getting narrower ahead. Caught by surprise, driver slammed on his brakes causing the truck to run him over.

Reports indicate that the motorist was killed on the spot while his passenger was rushed to the hospital by good samaritans and is currently receiving treatment in Mama Lucy hospital. 

For the past few months, Kenya has recorded the highest number of accident related deaths most of which are blamed on reckless drivers and motorists. For this reason,the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has reintroduced Alco-blow in order to reduce the carnage.
