Two people died in a grisly accident on the Sagana-Karatina Road in Kirinyaga County on Wednesday.
One other person has been admitted to hospital in critical condition.
The accident that occurred at Kibirigwi involved a saloon car and a lorry belonging to Mombasa Maize Millers.
Ndia Police Commander Joseph Mwika said the driver of the lorry was trying to overtake the saloon car when the incident happened.
Curious onlookers gathered at the scene to catch a glimpse of the wreckage.
