Peter Njoroge’s colleague lost his phone. He dropped his phone worth over KSh 30,000 in a matatu and was losing hope of ever recovering it. Seeing their colleague depressed by the loss of his phone, they decided to dial his number hoping someone would pick it up from where he had dropped it. As things turned out, the phone was picked up by a Eunice Wanjiru who happened to be the conductor of the matatu Njoroge’s colleague had boarded earlier on.Â
Wanjiru together with the matatu’s driver, Charles Ng’ang’a, directed Njoroge and his colleagues to their location so they could go and collect the phone. A Grateful Njoroge could not believe that the matatu crew had safely kept the phone were eagerly waiting to return it to the owner. Netizens were impressed by the crew’s honesty that has since debunked the notion that matatu crew members are always rogue and rude.Â
